The shop consists of many different shops across rural and urban settings. The individual shop can be permanent or temporary. Forms of trade and currencies are set by each shopkeeper.

The shop-classics-shop is part of a one month long "Now I gotta reason" programme curated by Markus Coates and Grizedale Arts for the Jerwood Gallery space in London.

Grizedale Arts and Marcus Coates have curated a programme for the Jerwood Space in London. "Now I Gotta Reason". Any programme and discussion about economies, usefulness and art in real life are a good enough reasons to have an International Village Shop. This is set up for a week, and we see how it goes. Prices are moderate but London specific.
