The International Village Shop is a growing trans-local network of cultural producers who set up trading places for goods with strong local connections.

The shop consists of many different shops across rural and urban settings. The individual shop can be permanent or temporary. Forms of trade and currencies are set by each shopkeeper.

Antje had swapped a good amount of elderberry sparkling wine for an afternoon long shop. The wine should go into the Vorratskammer (larder) project, and the stall to be part of the annual fete by the Friends of historic Gatow. Dozens of freshly cut salads were donated to the shop, and only friendly but firm selling strategies made the shop empty on a rainy but very enjoyable Saturday afternoon.
